We are writing to express our opinion on the proposed Freeway bypass contemplated for the San Pedro river valley.

We are opposed to the creation of a freeway bypass though the San Pedro Valley.

As expressed in previous community meetings we are in favor of improving and paving the existing road in order to increase safety, reduce dust, and to increase the availability and lower the cost of goods and services necessary for the ranches and homes situated along the river.

If the existing road were to be improved and paved as a local road similar to the existing paving out of Benson, (not a freeway) we would be in favor of a "local traffic only" restriction prohibiting through traffic of heavy trucks having no business in our area.  We have no desire to have 18 wheelers driving through our properties.
