A grassroots organization concerned with the cultural and ecological integrity of the lower/middle San Pedro Valley
The Cascabel Working Group (CWG) is an enthusiastic group of volunteers centered in the community of Cascabel, Arizona---part of the extraordinary San Pedro River Valley .


Our mission is educational. We want people to understand why the San Pedro River Valley is remarkable and irreplaceable
  • environmentally
  • culturally
  • archeologically
and called "One of the Last Great Places" by the Nature Conservancy.




Our current focus:  
helping the SunZia transmission line project to understand that the environmentally unique San Pedro River Valley is NOT a viable location for a major powerline corridor.
